2025 Student Virtual Volunteer Program​​

  • Are you a student who loves writing messages of kindness?

  • Are you a self-starter who is good at following instructions?

  • Can you meet a deadline?

  • Do you have a heart for those who are struggling with a long-term illnesses or rare diseases, as well as those who care for them?

 

If you answered YES to these questions, we invite you to apply for our SPRING 2026 Volunteer Program.

To apply, please complete the form below. Be sure to review your confirmation to make sure that all the information is correct. We cannot resend packets that are returned due to incorrect address information.

 

Join our mission to positively affect the mental health and emotional well-being of people living with long-term illnesses and rare diseases by sending cards filled with messages of love and support!

 

Student volunteers will complete a packet of 10 personalized cards to earn 10 service hours. 

 

How it Works
  1. Apply for the next Student Program - get on the waitlist for Spring 2026.

  2. All packets will be mailed or be available for pick-up on or before Feb 1, 2026.

  3. Complete your cards and dropoff / postmark them by April 1st.

Who can participate?

Any high school or college students within the United States can apply. Rising freshmen and above are eligible to receive community service hours.

Can I participate as a middle schooler?

Yes, students in grades 6-8 may complete a mini project, which consists of 5 cards. However, middle schoolers are not eligible to receive Bright Futures community service hours.
